John received a B.A. in business from James Madison University, which he has been putting to good use ever since. Upon graduating, John ran a painting franchise in Washington, DC, where he painted 69 homes and set a franchise sales record, with revenue that was three times the national average. His success prompted the franchisor to offer him a position as Regional Manager for the Mid-Atlantic States where John hired and trained 25 college students to run their own painting franchises.
John then went to work for a wireless communications company, where he quickly set a record for fastest promotion from salesman to office manager and youngest office manager in the company’s 15 year history. John ran the Washington, DC branch until he was promoted to manage the New York City branch. The entrepreneurial bug bit John again and he left to start and operate a dot-com business for five years until he sold it.
John graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where he focused on finance and entrepreneurship. John attributes the tremendous success that he has been able to achieve helping business owners to the fact that he truly understands the trials and tribulations of being a business owner himself.
